Benefits
The Dover Motorsports family of companies is pleased to offer
a highly competitive employee benefit program that ensures
ongoing protection and peace of mind for our employees and
their families. After completing 90 days of employment, full-time
regular employees are eligible to participate in most of our
benefits programs and part-time regular employees are eligible
to participate in some of our benefits programs. The information
listed below is a brief overview of the benefits available
to employees who meet this criterion:
Medical/Vision/Dental/Prescription Insurance Package
We offer a comprehensive health benefits package to employees
to protect their well-being. This package offers both preventative
and illness/accident related health care coverage. Our “Options
Discount Program” offers discounted rates for popular
health and wellness services that are not covered under the
health benefits package such as Acupuncture, Massage Therapy,
Nutrition Counseling, Personal Training, and Laser Vision
Correction services.
Life and Accidental Death and Dismemberment Insurance
Basic Life Insurance is provided at no cost to our employees
to help provide financial protection in the event of a tragedy.
Employees are also eligible to elect supplemental life and
accidental insurance for themselves and their eligible dependents.
Disability Plans
Short-term and Long-term Disability Plans are provided at
no cost to protect eligible employees' income while recovering
from illness or injury.
401(k) Retirement Savings Plan
We offer employees (full-time regular and part-time regular)
the opportunity to build a financial reserve for retirement
by electing to deduct pre-tax dollars and place them in a
401(k) savings plan. New employees who have participated in
their former employer’s 401(k) savings plan may rollover
their savings into the Dover Motorsports, Inc. 401(k) savings
plan.
Pension Plan
Our pension plan provides a source of retirement income for
our employees (full-time regular and part-time regular) to
supplement other sources of retirement income. The pension
plan is fully funded and employees are not required to make
any monetary contributions to it.
Health Care and Dependent Care Flexible Spending
Accounts
Our healthcare Flexible Spending Account (FSA) enables employees
to contribute up to $3,000 before-tax dollars to an account
used to pay for eligible healthcare expenses. Reimbursements
are tax-free. Our Dependent Care FSA enables employees to
contribute up to $5,000.00 before-tax dollars to an account
used to pay for eligible dependent care expenses. Reimbursements
are also tax-free. Employees are eligible to enroll in these
programs during the first open-enrollment period after employment
begins.
Employee Assistance Program
Our confidential Employee Assistance Program provides confidential
counseling and referral services to assist employees and their
family members in dealing with personal problems.
Educational Assistance
Full-time regular employees who have completed at least
one year of employment are eligible to participate in our
tuition assistance program. We will pay 50% of tuition and
regular administrative fees for pre-approved courses offered
for credit by accredited institutions of learning that the
employee completes with a final grade of a “C”
or better.
Vacations and Holidays
Full-time regular employees are eligible to accrue vacation
based on length of employment. The company recognizes the
following paid holidays:

- Easter
- Memorial Day
- Independence Day
- Labor Day
- Thanksgiving Day
- Christmas Day
- One additional “floating” holiday
Sick Leave and Leaves of Absence
Full-time regular employees accrue sick time after 90 days
of continuous employment. Approved leaves of absence are available
for bereavement, jury duty, and FMLA. |
